We were unable to be seated for breakfast and had to queue outside the dinig room for 30 minutes. Breakfast unhygieninc- sloppy service and an insect in my food. Mould growing in the bathroom. Staff reluctant to take any action about this.
Bed was very comfy. Facilities looked good although we didn't get chance to try them. Had a very pleasant stay.... Would def book again
The room was comfortable and well equipped. The pool and spa facilities where good and easy to use.
The location, just outside Stratford upon Avon was excellent.
We were disappointed by the welcome we received as it lacked warmth and we were not told of the hotel's facilities or how to access them. We were also disappointed by the size of our room - we had booked an executive double but the room was quite small and had just one easy chair. The bathroom lacked the wow factor and smelt of drains throughout our stay - the window was sealed and the extractor fan was not working. Although tea and coffee making facilities were provided, there were no biscuits in the room and we could only find four channels on the television.
Pictures in the advertising is not giving the correct "picture" of the place
Plenty of space - safe outside enclosed courtyard
Very slow service - often no one at bar - difficult to get drinks - nowhere to buy a bottle of water - breakfast excruciatingly slow as there were plenty of empty tables but no one to clear them and set them for the next guests. Then when they did clear then they cleared loads and then later set loads - why not fully do one at a time so you can get guests rolling in. More of our party came down but there were no cups/cutlery for them so we asked and still they did not arrive. We had to ask again. Staff generally friendly - especially on the bar (once they got there!) and one other member of staff who was floating around. But overall seemed to need a strong manager there - not a good impression.
Thoroughly enjoyable wekend away. Facilities excellent, especially pool and gym. Eveneing meal very nice, nothing outstanding, although slightly over priced. Breakfast good as you would expect from this type of hotel. Lovely grounds. Plenty of space for meetings, public areas not over crowded. Free internet for half an hour very useful. Not too far from Stratford with a car.Would return.
Good security but slightly annoying codes needed for every entrance door, pool & gym etc.
Very friendly and helpfull. Excellent location with splendid views
I thought that the bar drinks were overly expensive
The evening meal
Dirty tables in the bar area as staff very slow to clean up after the tables were vacated. The hotel could do with a snooker room or similar.
Not much. The bed was so bad we moved somewhere else for our second night,
A very boring and lacklustre hotel. I expect it would be ok for conferences as there would be little in the way of distraction.
Relaxing, walking around the grouds, sitting on the benches watching people play tennis, just gutted we forgot our swim suits!
Nothing it was beautifull! Can't wait to come back!
There were enough rooms to accommodate the family for a reunion
A quiet peaceful hotel in a secluded location , breakfast was excellent ,didn't try evening meal as nothing on the menu appealed to us . The bar meal was good if a little pricey ,second time we've been ther ,last time was 18 yrs ago and would go back again
Price of evening meal is rather expensive compared to local pub / restaurants and cheapest bottle of wine is £19.50 !!!
The hotel room was clean and modern. Breakfast was good/
Check in was very poor - kept me waiting for 40 mins. And a whole queue of others. One couple in queue said it happend to them the last time. Walked passed a couple going to our room and heard an unhappy guest tell the manager he was going to sue her for thousands as she had ruined his weekend!.. Whilst the staff were pleasant they appeared to be completely inexperienced/weak in managing customers. When I was being served and a queue of people behind me the receptionist kept answering the phone and getting distracted. She should have let the phone ring and dealt with clients in front of her.
The staff were welcoming. Once we reached the room we were so pleased - chocolate and beige decor, a bed so comfy I didn't want to get up. In the morning we went down to the pool and also had a sauna and jacuzzi. We loved staying here!
The jacuzzi button doesn't always seem to work.
